Thomas Barthmus

President and CEO of Bayshore Productions, Thomas Barthmus, got his first break in events back in 1992 when he worked in the public relations department for Daimler Benz in Stuttgart, Germany. It was at this job that he realized a career in event planning and production would become his passion. He also coordinated the multi-million dollar Award of Excellence program during summers while attending classes at the University of Maryland's University College in Munich, Germany the rest of the year. While Thomas was not studying he also managed to sharpen his skills as an Emcee and a Disc Jockey at weekly events on campus as well as several private events and weddings.

Thomas then moved to Tampa, Florida to attend the University of South Florida and found a new home for his love of Disc Jockeying at the Green Iguana in Ybor City. His internship with Cox Radio turned into a job and while working for Cox Radio, Thomas was hired as a promotions coordinator and helped produce over 200 live broadcasts and events. He was even able to attain one of his life long goals of becoming a radio personality on Warm 94.9 FM and Coast 107.3. Once Thomas received his Mass Communications Degree in Radio and TV from USF he found himself returning to the marketing and public relations world for PrimeCo Personal Communications which then became Verizon Wireless. During his five years with Verizon Wireless, he planned and executed over four hundred special events and handled sponsorships ranging from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. In 2002, Thomas decided to take his love of event planning, production and entertainment to a higher level and made Bayshore Sound a full time operation. Over the last few years, Bayshore's client list has grown to include clients such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Verizon Wireless, the New York Yankees, the Orlando Magic, Busch Gardens, Green Iguana Bar and Grill, St Jospeh's Hospital, Coast Dental, Intellident Solutions, Cinemedia, Captain Morgan, Tribal Brands, SoBiz Networks, and Tampa Bay CEO Magazine. Highlights in 2007, included producing concerts for Wyclef Jean, Fergie and the Jonas Brothers. In 2008, Thomas decided to update the company’s name and logo and changed the name from Bayshore Sound to Bayshore Productions to help clients understand the wide range of services the company could provide. Thomas has continued his education outside of the college classroom and has taken courses and seminars in sound reinforcement, marketing and event planning, and is also a member of the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the American Disc Jockey Association. 

R-J Vida

Richard-John Vida started his career as an entertainer in 1998 outside of New York City DJing for a local nightclub. With some collaboration with two trusted partners R-J started a company known as Increw Productions. Increw promoted several of the largest club’s in the New Jersey Tri State area and also booked several DJ’s under its name for these venues. This was a great accomplishment considering R-J’s age at the time. After growing up in New Jersey it was time for a much needed relocation to Tampa Florida. R-J left the fate of Increw Productions in the hands of his trusted partners. Shortly after arriving in Tampa, RJ was approached by the marketing director for The Ice Sports Forum in Brandon, FL. They were in dire need of a Head Disc Jockey to train and manage there DJ’s. R-J took the job without hesitation. With the constant push of ambition R-J started another company called Advance Entertainment. This time around, he abandoned the club scene entirely and was ready for something different. R-J started DJing everything from weddings, to corporate events all across the Bay Area. He found this to be his passion. R-J believes you can be professional and interactive without being obnoxious and over the top. This is the philosophy that he has taken with him over the years. Focusing on 100% satisfaction from all of his clients he has never fell short.
Several years ago R-J began doing work for Breezin Entertainment, one of the largest entertainment brokers in the bay area. This great relationship with such a well established company has led him to bookings all over the state at high end resorts such as, The Don CeSar in St. Petersburg, The Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, and the Marriott Waterside in Downtown Tampa. These are only a very small handful of the resorts that R-J has provided service for. R-J also does professional voice work for Corporations phone system including the local, Fun League Group. 
In 2005 R-J took his philosophy and his once Sole-Proprietorship company Advance Entertainment and created Advance Entertainment Productions Inc, a full service Disc Jockey Company, pioneering the idea of Full Service Disc Jockey Entertainment. Today he employs a small handful of the top DJ’s in the Tampa Bay area and continues to DJ over 75 weddings, corporate parties, and various other events around the bay area each year.
Today R-J is a member of the Perfect Wedding Guide Guild, The Knot, The American Disc Jockey Association, and the American Marketing Association. His company continues to grow in success everyday, with over thirty thousand dollars invested in equipment, including impressive light show’s as well as audio visual equipment.. With his innovative, clean style, R-J continues to take the Tampa Bay market to the next level. Everything R-J knows to this day has been self taught. His professional style and flexible attitude has led him to the success that he enjoys today.
